SquareMeal Review of Za Za Bazaar

Opened with fanfares and huge hype, this enormous ‘eat-as-much-as-you-like’ buffet restaurant serves a mighty 700 covers down by Bristol’s harbourside. Presented as a mock-up food market with design inspiration from all over the world (cinema-like neon signage, Indian film posters, Mexican paintings, Chinese lanterns), Za Za Bazaar combines all of Britain’s favourite takeaways in a souped-up setting that’s custom-built for kids, students or hard-to-please groups. Have a game-plan in mind once you’re seated, avoid mixing different cuisines on one plate, and look out for the yellow signs indicating the freshly made offerings – Peking duck, Tex-Mex grilled ribs, naans with various fillings and steaming Vietnamese pho, for example. The humungous bar downstairs is all Moroccan-style, carved geometric shapes and cosy leather booths – ideal if you want to escape the mayhem with a masala mojito or some other chilli-spiked concoction.

The only thing that was cooked was Me such a hot restaurant

The Worst Meal I have ever eaten food was over cooked and burned. In most of the areas from black garlic bread to burnes under cooked junk chicken.  We went for a birthday meal and it ruined the birthday leaving us all feeling sick.  The restaurant was so hot we were melting. We asked for a jug of water it took 5.times of asking and finally arrived 45 minutes later. I spoke to the head chef I was that unhappy. In summing up I would not feed this too my dogs.  Today I have 2 very ill children with what could be food poisoning.

I know it's an all you can eat restaurant but.it was more like all you don't want to eat.  Yes I did complain and was left waiting for a manager another 45 minutes in an already hot restaurant. Infact the only thing that was cooked properly was me.  Would I go again NO!!! I would rather eat a tin of dog food
