The Fox and Chance is an award-winning cocktail bar in Birmingham, positioned in the heart of the city. It's close by to must-see cultural sites such as Birmingham's Museum and Art Gallery, as well as Birmingham Cthedral, while being just a short walk from the major train stations and public transport, too. This means that no matter where you or your friends are coming from, you'll be able to get there and home easily.
Inside, The Fox and Chance has a lively atmosphere with a span of seating types, to best suit different parties. The colour palette is dark green and jewel tones, which feels especially atmospheric in the evenings. On the walls, you'll find a mix of artworks from vintage maps to band posters, and we particularly like the look of the Chesterfield sofas for getting cosy.
Now, moving onto the most important part - the menu. The Fox and Chance is very much focused on cocktails, so eat before you come! On the decorative menu, you'll find some interesting twists on classic drinks such as the Plum-Fashioned which uses Plantation Rum, Black Tot Rum, Jameson Black Barrel, plum, Port and bitters, instead of whiskey. We like the sound of the Road Trippin' with Lot 40 Rye Whiskey, apricot, peach wine and salt, while there are plenty of non alcoholic drinks available, too, such as the Non-Alc Southside Fizz with non-alc gin, mint, lime and soda.
If you're a whiskey fan, you might be interested in trying out the Irish Whiskey Tasting which offers five whiskies of various varieties and two Irish whiskey cocktails. Over an hour and a half, you'll be introduced to the history of Irish Whiskey and talk about all the influence it has had over it’s many years in production. Tastings are available for more than two, or up to 12 people, and are held in the venue's semi-private front room, The Den. Which, by the way, is a great place to host a private dining shindig, if the mood strikes!
