Best restaurants in Blackpool

Another beloved city centre restaurant, you'll find Hungarian's on Topping Street, where a family team serve up traditional Hungarian dishes in a lovely bright dining room. Come for warming goulash, big slabs of chicken schnitzel, stuffed cabbage rolls and more, all washed down with Hungarian fruit brandy.

It may look nothing special but Elvin's always has outstanding ratings from customers and offers a nice range of healthy options, from Lebanese yoghurt chicken to mezze platters, buddha bowls and burgers. We're big fans of the chicken and lamb shawarma with homemade flatbreads.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the Blackpool area, Imli St Anne's combines the generosity of a good family-run neighbourhood Indian with some really fantastic cooking. They do some extremely reasonable early bird and Sunday offers too. 

Tiziano was once known and loved as Ambrosini's, and though it has had a bit of a redesign it remains very much the same restaurant. The kitchen cooks up comforting Italian classics, but we're big fans of the garlic breads baked fresh to order and the delicious pasta dishes. 

Twisted Indian cooks up a mixture of modern street food and classic curries across a hefty menu that also includes mixed grills and a pair of excellent spicy burgers.

Another solid option for anyone looking for a pizza in Blackpool, Pizza Grazie churns out classic takeaway-style pizzas at quite a pace, serving up a handful of classic pizzas as well as homemade pasta dishes, chef specials and even a handful of vegan pizzas too. 

Another family-run neighbourhood restaurant of note, Mi Casa Su Casa is the sort of warm and welcoming local spot we all wish we had nearby. The menu is packed with classic tapas dishes, all brilliantly executed and served by a jovial front-of-house team. 

This family-run spot in Blackpool town centre is everything you want from a pizzeria. Despite the central location it has all the charm of a neighbourhood spot, the pizza dough is slow fermented and made fresh every day, and pizzas are cooked in a proper wood-fired pizza oven. 

This Kirkham bistro sits in between Blackpool and Preston, but it's easy enough to get to in a car so we're including it! Scott's offers lots of really well priced set menus as well as an evening menu of proper bistro comfort food - think venison haunch parmentier and butternut squash risotto.

Hauze makes a good date spot thanks to its moody lighting and striking scarlet and black colour scheme. Meanwhile, the international menu has something for everyone, though it does specialise in meaty mains, including fillet steak in peppercorn sauce, baked pork fillet with tomato and mushroom, and pork ribs in spicy Hauze sauce. 

Right by Squires Gate station, Le Sorelle dishes up pizza, pasta, risotto and a host of classic Italian mains, as well as all your favourite desserts (yes, that includes a cracking tiramisu). The interiors are slick and tidy too, with plenty of natural light thanks to large front windows - definitely one of the smarter restaurants in the area. 

Pulcinella specialises in classic Italian trattoria fare, with a menu that touches on traditional dishes like lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, osso buco and fish stew. Local produce is used wherever possible - all the seafood comes fresh from Fleetwood, for example, whilst quality Italian products are imported.

This slick bar and grill restaurant does everything you want - it's good value, the menu is packed with comforting, no-frills cooking and best of all, it's just a few minutes from the North Pier. The Bank Bar & Grill does a cracking (and very popular) Sunday roast too.
