Lula is an intimate, independent restaurant in Queens Park, with a neighbourhood feel and a unique concept. Set across two floors, it has been developed just as much for private parties as regular diners, offering not only full hire of the main space on the ground floor, but a second floor optimised for large groups, too.
The general vibe is relaxed but stylish, favouring light colours and natural materials. The ground floor, for example, mixes rustic, terracotta flooring with exposed brick walls and wooden ceiling beams, complemented by vintage bistro chairs. Large, glass doors fold back and open up the space, welcoming the plant-studded terrace inside. Here, between 50 (seated) and 80 (standing) can be hosted, with use of the terrace when the weather plays ball.
Upstairs, expect a Scandi-cool aesthetic with white-washed floorboards, lime-washed walls and loads of natural light. On the website, you'll see the space looks great when decorated with large plants and a rustic tablescape, but you could really transform the room however you like. This goes for the set-up, too. Stick to a large central dining table for up to 60, with lounging chairs for socialising before and after, or opt for an entirely standing affair for up to 100. This works perfectly for cocktails and canapes, whether that be for a birthday party or even a corporate event, such as a brand launch or PR shindig.
The space can be hired up until 12.30am, with the bar closing at midnight and music turned off at midnight. The team are also more than happy to help you organise other elements of your party including hiring their resident DJ or lending you the equipment to scout out your own, they can also help bring together the aesthetic of your event with table scaping, decorations, flowers, photographers and more.
