Harvey Nichols' flagship department store in Knightsbridge is certainly one of London's most recognisable shopping addresses, but shopping isn't the only reason to venture out this way - the iconic store has also curated a smart list of food talent to make sure that visitors stay well-fed, including the likes of Burger & Lobster, Madhu's Brasserie and Aldo Zilli's Lucarelli Restaurant.
Alongside all that, Harvey Nichols also caters for private dinners, offering a number of spaces for large and small groups. The Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Cafe is available for exclusive private hire, for example, and has capacity for up to 100 seated guests for dinner, or 150 standing guests for a networking event or drinks party. The cafe is a beautiful, bright, airy space that is versatile enough to suit any dining event. Or, why not take your dinner out onto the Fifth Floor Terrace and eat under a canopy of blooming flowers? The Terrace is a little smaller, with room for 40 seated or 85 standing guests, but boasts some incredible views over Knightsbridge and Lowndes Square.
Heading back inside, the Fifth Floor Bar is ideal for private drinks parties, as well as tastings and cocktail masterclasses with Harvey Nichols' in-house mixologists. Hire the bar in its entirety for a team building day out or a birthday party with friends, for groups up to 90, or 60 seated. There's also CANVAS - Harvey Nichols' dedicated events space, which can host private dinners of up to 80. For all of these hire options, menus can be customised to suit the occasion, ranging from a full three-course meal to canapes or bowl food. Sample dinner dishes include the likes of white and brown crab toast with sweetcorn and fennel, sea bass, pumpkin gel, gnocchi, girolles and crayfish dressing, and vanilla and blackcurrant panna cotta with a polenta biscuit.
