Italian cuisine is traditionally made to be shared among friends and family, and it’s no different at Enoteca Rosso. This charming and classic Italian restaurant serves a menu of homely comfort food, which is well suited to both group dining and private dining.
The restaurant can be found towards the Design Museum end of Kensington High Street and its interiors are industrial chic, featuring exposed pipes, a steel-topped bar and shelves of wine bottles lining the walls. The restaurant also houses a basement private dining room, which is called The Vault. This charming room doubles up as Enoteca Rosso’s wine cellar, so you can expect bottles to line the walls, with the space able to accommodate 12 guests for a sit-down dinner, or 25 for a standing reception.
Alternative spaces are also available, including the semi-private wine and window galleries, or the stage, which each accommodate a handful of guests for either seated or standing functions. The restaurant’s menu majors in Italian cheeses and charcuterie, freshly made pasta dishes and a stellar Italian wine list.
Group menus are available, with Enoteca Rosso serving a four-course feast for private dining groups, as well as having the option to include a wine pairing for an additional cost. On the menu, you can expect to kick off proceedings with caponata with baby buffalo mozzarella, or vegetable ravioli in burrata and sundried tomato sauce. Larger dishes include beef tagliata or chicken Milanese, while a selection of desserts handpicked by the chef makes for a pleasing end to the evening.
This specialist wine shop boasts hundreds of bottles lining the walls and knowledgeable staff to guide you. You can taste and buy wines as well as sample authentic, imaginative Italian food ranging from plates of charcuterie and cheeses to salads and gutsy meat dishes such as wild boar stew.
