The light, bright and airy Silver Birch has made an instant impression in Chiswick, bringing casual fine dining to the high street. Head chef Nathan Cornwell brings considerable experience and know-how to the kitchen here, with stints at Copenhagen’s Geranium which boasts three Michelin Stars, Stockholm’s Kadeau and Oaxen Krog which also has two Michelin Stars, and Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham which, again, proudly holds two Michelin Stars. As well as offering private dining, various parts of the Silver Birch are also available to hire for events of various sizes.
The interiors are particularly beautiful - a minimal Scandinavian theme runs through the restaurant, from the dark wood tables to wood floors and forest green banquette cushions. The walls move from exposed brick to mottled, textured plaster, giving the whole space an organic feel that exudes calm. This is certainly a conscious decision - the restaurant was dreamed up by B3 Designers, who are also behind the interiors of iconic restaurants like Le Gavroche and Hakkasan.
All of the above makes the Silver Birch a perfect venue for celebrations and birthday parties, cocktails and canapes or small corporate events. The restaurant's private dining space has a stylish, contemporary feel in keeping with the rest of the venue and can accommodate parties of up to 14 guests seated or 30 guests standing. The team are happy to discuss your ideas and a bespoke menu can be created for your event using fresh ingredients adhering to the seasons. For the full experience, the bepoke six-course tasting menu is recommended.
For smaller groups, the Chef's Table area is available for semi-private hire too. Larger parties can book out the main dining room and take over the whole restaurant for an evening, with capacity for around 45 standing guests or 36 seated. Best of all, the Silver Birch is just a short walk from Turnham Green station, making it easy to get to by train or bus for guests travelling from across London.
