Searcys has announced its newest partnership with historic London venue 116 Pall Mall and will launch a charitable afternoon tea to mark the launch of the partnership.
116 Pall Mall is a stunning building in St James’s, which spreads itself across five floors and dates back to the Georgian era. First opened in 1828, the building is now home to the Institute of Directors, but is also an events venue available to hire for weddings, private parties and more.
To celebrate the launch of the partnership, as well as the building opening up to the public at weekends for the first time, Searcys is launching The Confectioner’s Afternoon Tea from 18 September, which will then take place every Saturday thereafter from 2pm.
The traditional tea begins with a selection of savouries such as smoked salmon rillette with horseradish and pickled fennel, or a salt beef Reuben brioche bun. Next, you will indulge in an assortment of sweet treats, with options to try including a chocolate, cherry and pistachio delice, a passion fruit eclair and Searcys signature Victoria sponge. To add an extra sense of occasion, the tea will be paired with Champagne and live music.
Little ones are also welcome, thanks to a Children’s Tea which includes rolls, scones and child-friendly sweet pastries topped with the likes of popping candy and rainbow frosting.
In support of UK Hospitality for National Hospitality Action Day, the venue will be donating the profits from the launch date to charity partners, including Hospitality Action and Springboard. National Hospitality Day is a nationwide celebration of restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars which looks to celebrate and uplift those businesses that have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
