Two historic brands are coming together this summer for a four year partnership that will see 275-year-old Moët & Chandon become the ‘official champagne of Ascot’ – the 307-year-old sporting arena.
As a result visitors to Britain’s most famous racecourse will be treated to a selection of the champagne house’s finest offerings over the next four years. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage - which is only made in remarkable years when the conditions have produced the finest grapes - will be available at bars across the venue for the duration of Royal Ascot in June. Additionally, for guests visiting outside of these times, the Grand Vintage will be available at the Permanent Pall Mall bar for the entire time of the partnership.
Speaking about the collaboration, Benoît Gouez, Cellar Master at Moët & Chandon, says:

Staging 13 Group One races every year Ascot holds more than any other course in Britain, and attracts more than 300,000 visitors during June for their infamous five-day Royal event. It’s on these days that The Queen arrives by Royal Procession along the racecourse with her guests, in full view of spectators. This tradition began in 1807 when George III visited the event, and has been upheld ever since. Within the exclusive Royal area at the racecourse men are required to wear full morning dress, while women are required to dress in full formal day wear.
