D&D's Madison, which is based in The City, has announced that it has appointed a brand new head chef, who has also curated an exciting new menu for the restaurant and venue.
Chef Mike Denman will be cooking his bold new menu at the Manhattan-style restaurant and rooftop terrace from Monday 9 March. The menu will be influenced by a wide variety of different cuisines including Asian, Italian and South American, all of which form a large part of the New York restaurant scene.
Denman was previously executive chef at The Great Northern Hotel before taking up his new position at Madison, and has curated a menu which is set to add a further dimension to any event hosted at Madison. Speaking about his new appointment Denman said: “I am thrilled to join the team at Madison and really excited for people to come in and try the new menu.”
Explaining the process of designing the menu, he added: “When creating the new dishes, we wanted the flavours on the plate to be exciting and fun, so we drew on influences from different food cultures and think the result is fantastic.”
Based atop the One New Change development near St Paul’s, Madison offers stunning views of the London skyline. It also features an incredibly popular roof terrace, which has led to it becoming one of London’s hottest venues to hire, as well as being a hugely popular restaurant, particularly among workers in the City.
In the past week, the menus have also been announced for one of the UK’s biggest annual events: Royal Ascot. Celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc and Simon Rogan have previewed some of their dishes they will be serving at the 2020 event.
